Gold price at ₹1.6 lakh in Mumbai, Delhi and other cities, Silver jumps over 3% to ₹2.69 lakh/ kg; check latest rates

Gold is trading flat in the domestic market on Friday, February 27. Gold prices have largely remained flat in the Asian markets as well. However, despite today’s flat movement, the yellow metal is set to end February on a high note.

In February, Gold prices rose by over 6% in the international spot market, while a similar move was seen in the domestic markets as well. Uncertainty over the US trade policy and rising geopolitical tension between the US and Iran led to increased demand for safe-haven assets like gold and silver.

Earlier this month, the US Supreme Court ruled to strike down most of President Donald Trump’s trade tariffs announced over the last one year. However, the US government responded by announcing new tariffs under a different legal framework, which kept the investors nervous.

In the domestic markets, the 24K gold remains flat around ₹1.60 lakh per 10 grams, up ₹410, and the 22K gold is available around ₹1.47 lakh per 10 grams in major Indian cities. Meanwhile, Silver prices surge over 3% to ₹2.7 lakh per kg amid high volatility.

In Mumbai, the 24K gold rate stood at ₹160,680 per 10 gram and 22K gold at ₹147,290 per 10 gram.

MCX Gold futures are also trading marginally higher. As of 11:30 pm, the MCX Gold April future is up over 0.3% at ₹1,60,313 per 10 gram, with a day high of ₹1,60,719 and day low of ₹1,60,050. In the US markets, Gold Spot price is trading 0.2% or $11 lower at $5,205 per ounce.

Silver price today in India

Silver prices are trading over 3% higher in the local market around the ₹2.69 lakh mark on Thursday, February 26. Meanwhile, MCX Silver for May delivery trades 2.9% higher at ₹2.75 lakh per kg, while international silver prices trade around $90.3 per troy ounce, up 3.8%.
