Gold and silver prices on May 26: 24K, 22K gold decline; check the latest rate in your city

Gold prices are trading lower in the local market on Monday, May 26. Domestic gold prices are reflecting the fall witnessed in the international market. At 9:30 am, the 24K gold rate in the local market stood at ₹96,380 per 10 gram, down ₹490/10 gram compared to yesterday’s closing, while 22K gold was at ₹88,348 per 10 gram.

Yellow metal started the week on a lower note after rising over 4% in the previous week. US President Donald Trump's announcement to postpone the planned 50% tariff on European Union goods to July 9 has put downward pressure on gold prices.

Gold's appeal as a safe haven investment has decreased in the last few weeks amid ease in geopolitical and trade war tensions.

In Delhi markets, the 24K gold rate stood at ₹96,090 per 10 gram and 22K gold at ₹88,083 per 10 gram.

MCX Gold futures are also trading lower in the derivatives market today. As of 9:30 am, the MCX Gold June future is down 0.5% at ₹95,902 per 10 gram, with a day high of ₹96,001 and day low of ₹95,865. In the US markets, Gold futures for June delivery were trading 0.5% or $19 lower at $3,375 an ounce.

Silver Price Today in India (May 26, 2025)

Silver prices also trade lower in the local market, replicating the fall in international prices. Silver 999 Fine prices are around ₹98,230 per kg, down 0.3%. Meanwhile, MCX Silver for July delivery trades flat at ₹98,052 per kg as of 9:30 am, while international silver prices trade around $33.64 per troy ounce, up 0.1%.
