Gold prices slipped by ₹10 per 10 grams in major Indian cities on Monday amid mixed global trends.

While weak local demand weighed on the precious metal, gains in metal prices in global markets restricted any major correction.

Gold edged up in global markets in a rangebound trade amid hopes of lower than expected rate cuts by the US Federal Reserve.

Spot gold edged up 0.53% to $2,647 an ounce in early Asian trade. The metal moved in a range from $2,627 an ounce to $2,650 an ounce in overnight trade.

In Delhi markets, 24K gold prices dropped by ₹10 to ₹77,760 per 10 grams and 22K gold by ₹10 to ₹71,290 per 10 grams. The 24K Gold in Mumbai rose to ₹77,610 per 10 grams and 22K gold by ₹10 to ₹71,140 per 10 grams.

Silver Price Today in India (December 9, 2024)

Silver prices slipped by ₹100 to ₹91,900 per kg in major Indian cities in early trade on Monday. The metal declined by ₹100 per kg on Saturday as well. Weak demand from coin makers and industrial units weighed on the white metal in local markets. Firm global trends capped its losses.

Spot silver rose by 0.82% to $31.24 an ounce in global markets. The metal hit a high of $31.29 an ounce and a low of $30.92 an ounce in overnight trade.
