Gold prices traded flat ₹78,700 per 10 grams in major Indian cities in early trade on Tuesday, January 7, amid a lack of fresh triggers amid a rebound in the US dollar.

The US dollar recovered some ground in early trade after Donald Trump rejected media reports over paring back tariffs.

Spot gold rose by 0.11% to $2,638 an ounce in early Asian trade. The metal moved in a tight range of $2,633 an ounce to $2,641 an ounce.

Silver prices remained unchanged at ₹91,400 per kg in major Indian cities on Tuesday due to mixed cues. Firm global trends supported the metal while weak local demand restricted its gains.

Spot silver was up 0.24% to $30.01 an ounce in early Asian trade. The metal moved between $29.88 an ounce and $30.09 an ounce in early trade.
