Gold prices dropped by ₹160 per 10 grams in early trade on Wednesday, November 6, ahead of the US Federal Reserve’s decision on policy rates. The precious metal was trading in a range in global markets as investors awaited US election results.

Gold prices dropped by ₹160 to ₹80,380 per 10 grams in Delhi and ₹80,230 in Mumbai and Kolkata.

Spot gold was trading down 0.30% at $2,735 an ounce in early Asian trade. The metal hit a high of $2,749 an ounce in overnight trade.

Silver prices declined by ₹1,000 per kilogram in major Indian cities in early trade on Wednesday due to weak demand from coin makers and industrial units. Silver was trading at ₹95,900 per kg in Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata.

Spot silver traded lower by 1.81% at $32.06 an ounce in global markets. The metal hit a high of $32.73 in overnight trade.
