Gold prices jumped by ₹620 per 10 grams in major Indian cities on Tuesday, November 19, following a flare-up in Russia-Ukraine tensions. Gold prices gained for the second day in global markets amid increased geopolitical worries after the US allowed Ukraine to use its long-range missiles to strike inside Russia.

Spot gold was trading higher by 0.32% at $2,620 an ounce in early Asian trade. The metal moved between $2,610 and $2,620 in overnight trade.

Silver pared gains to trade flat at ₹89,400 per kg in major Indian cities on Tuesday due to weak demand from consuming industries. Firm global prices supported the metal in local markets. Silver prices advanced by ₹400 per kg in late trade on Monday.

Spot Silver rose by 0.46% to $31.31 an ounce in global markets. The metal hit a high of $31.32 an ounce and a low of ₹31.13 an ounce in overnight trade.
