Gold and silver price on November 18: Precious metals continue to trade lower amid strong US dollar; check latest rate

Gold prices ruled flat in early trade on Monday, November 18, on firm global trends and weak domestic demand. The precious metal gained strength in early Asian trade following renewed tensions between Russia and Ukraine. The US has allowed Ukraine to use its long-range weapons to strike inside Russia.

The spot gold was trading higher by 1.08% at $2,588 an ounce in early Asian trade. The metal moved between a range of $2,561 an ounce and $2,597 an ounce in overnight trade.

Silver prices were also flat at ₹89,400 per kg in major Indian cities in early trade on Monday due to firm global trends.

Spot silver rose by 1.36% to $30.62 an ounce in global markets. The metal hit a high of $30.67 an ounce and a low of ₹30.21 an ounce in overnight trade.

Weak domestic demand capped the movement of silver prices in local markets.
