Gold prices dropped for the fourth day on Tuesday, March 25, following easing global trade fears and a rebound in US bond yields. A stronger rupee against the US dollar also dragged the prices in major Indian cities.
The precious metal has declined since Friday as the US dollar rebounded from multi-month lows and the US-Russia talks to end the Ukraine war eased geopolitical concerns. Expectations that US President Donald Trump’s reciprocal tariffs to be imposed from April 2 would be more targeted and less severe than anticipated led to a rebound in bond yields and helped the US dollar’s recovery.
The 24K gold slipped by ₹330 to ₹89,290 per 10 grams and the 22K gold to ₹81,850 per 10 grams in major Indian cities on Tuesday. Gold prices had fallen by ₹160 per 10 grams on Monday. In early Asian trade on Tuesday, spot Gold slipped 0.07% to $3,010 an ounce.
In Delhi markets, 24K gold traded at ₹89,440 per 10 grams and 22K gold at ₹82,200 per 10 grams, down by nearly ₹300 over the last close.

Silver prices retreated for the fourth day in a row on Tuesday following a stronger rupee and weak global trends. Silver prices eased by ₹100 to ₹1,00,900 per kg in major cities. The metal traded flat at ₹1,01,000 on Monday. Spot silver inched up 0.05% to $33.04 an ounce in early Asian trade on Tuesday. The metal had dropped in overnight trade.

Gold prices have corrected since Friday on easing global trade war worries and geopolitical concerns. A stronger rupee has also weighed on the prices. Silver prices also fell on Tuesday due to a rebound in the US dollar and weak industrial demand.
