Gold prices remained unchanged at ₹78,700 per 10 grams for the third straight day in early trade on Wednesday due to thin volumes and mixed cues.

The precious metal moved in a range in global markets as investors turned cautious ahead of the release of US Fed minutes. While uncertainty around US trade policy is supporting the metal, a firm US dollar and rising bond yields are weighing on the metal.

In the domestic market, a weak rupee is supporting the metal while thin trading and poor offtake are capping its gains.

Spot gold slipped by 0.04% at $2,647 an ounce in early Asian trade. The metal moved in a tight range of $2,645 an ounce to $2,651 an ounce in early trade.

Silver Price Today in India (January 8, 2025)

Silver prices rebounded by ₹1,200 to ₹92,600 per kg in major Indian cities on Wednesday, mainly due to a weak rupee and some pick-up in demand from industrial users.

The white metal traded above $30 an ounce in global markets, which also bolstered its prices in local markets.

Spot Silver was up 0.14% to $30.10 an ounce in early Asian trade. The metal moved between $30.01 an ounce and $30.15 an ounce in early trade.
