Gold and silver price on January 24: Gold drops from record high, silver declines by ₹100 per kg

Gold prices slipped from record high levels in early trade on Friday, January 24, following the metal’s losses in global markets during the overnight trade.

Globally, the precious metal took a breather after hovering near three-month highs on Thursday as investors awaited US PMI data and sought more clarity on US President Donald Trump’s trade policy.

On Friday, 24K gold traded at ₹82,080 per 10 grams in major Indian cities, while 22K gold was quoted at ₹75,240 per 10 grams. Gold prices remained unchanged at record-high levels on Thursday.

Spot gold rebounded from Thursday night’s losses and was trading higher by 0.74% at $2,775 an ounce in early Asian trade.

Silver Price Today in India (January 24, 2025)

Silver prices dropped by ₹100 to ₹96,400 per kg in major Indian cities on Friday due to weak domestic demand. The white metal traded flat at ₹96,500 on Thursday.

Silver prices advanced more than 1% in early Asian trade which capped its losses in the domestic markets.

Spot Silver rallied 1.16% to $30.79 an ounce in early Asian trade. The metal moved between $30.43 and $30.80 an ounce in early trade.
