Gold and silver price on January 21: Check 22 and 24-carat gold rates in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata

Gold prices advanced for the second day on Tuesday, January 21, in major Indian cities, led by domestic demand and the metal’s gains in global markets.

The US dollar dropped nearly 0.9% to 108 levels in early Asian trade, supporting the precious metal. The latest tariff threat by Donald Trump, sworn in as US President on Monday, capped gains.

In major Indian cities, 24K gold gained ₹10 to ₹81,240 per 10 grams. On Monday, the metal rose by ₹130 to ₹81,230 per 10 grams. Spot gold rose by 0.63% to $2,724 an ounce in early Asian trade.

In Delhi markets, 24K gold prices gained ₹10 to trade at ₹81,390 per 10 grams and 22K gold at ₹74,660 per 10 grams. The 24K Gold in Mumbai rose by ₹10 to ₹81,240 per 10 grams and 22K gold to ₹74,510 per 10 grams.

Silver Price Today in India (January 21, 2025)

Silver prices declined by ₹100 to ₹96,400 per kg in the early trade due to poor offtake from industrial users and coin makers. Firm global cues, however, supported the metal and helped cap losses.

Spot silver rose by 0.34% to $30.64 an ounce in early Asian trade. The metal moved between $30.20 and $30.66 an ounce in early trade.
