Weak local demand also impacted the prices.

Silver prices moved in a tight range and slipped by ₹100 to ₹97,900 per kg in major Indian cities on Friday. Gains in the US dollar affected the metal’s appeal as a hedge against inflation.
US President Donald Trump threatened to impose additional 10% duties on China from March and reciprocal tariffs on Europe from April, which raised concerns of weak global growth. Slow growth could hit the industrial use appeal of the white metal. Spot silver was up by 0.3% at $31.35 an ounce in early Asian trade on Friday.
