Rising for the fourth day, gold prices advanced to a fresh all-time high in early trade on Thursday, February 20, on firm retail demand. The precious metal hit a lifetime high of ₹87,810 per 10 grams in Delhi and other major cities in early trade as the metal traded firm in global markets.
Gold prices hit a fresh all-time high of $2,947 an ounce in overnight trade despite hawkish FOMC minutes. In early Asian trade on Thursday, Spot gold remained nearly flat at $2,935 an ounce.
In Delhi markets, 24K gold traded at ₹87,810 per 10 grams, and 22K gold advanced ₹10 to ₹80,460 per 10 grams.

Silver prices fell by ₹100 to ₹1,00,400 per kg due to poor offtake by industrial units. The threat of US tariffs on a wide range of products is affecting sentiment, as it would impact demand from renewable players. The US dollar traded above 107 levels, which also hit the metal. Spot silver rose by 0.28% to $32.79 an ounce in early Asian Trade on Thursday.

Driven by safe-haven demand, gold prices rose for the fourth day on Thursday and stayed at lifetime highs. Local demand amid the ongoing marriage season also aided the price rise this week. Silver, however, has stayed calm as worries over US tariffs keep the prices in a range.
