"Ours is a Government fully committed to Kisan Kalyan. It is therefore fitting that the first file signed on taking charge is related to farmer welfare," PM Modi said after signing the file.

He added, "We want to keep working even more for the farmers and the agriculture sector in the times to come".

PM Kisan Nidhi: How To check beneficiary status?

  • Visit the official website — pmkisan.gov.in
  • Go to ‘Know Your Status’ tab
  • Fill in your registration number and Captcha Code
  • Select ‘Get Data’ option
  • Your beneficiary status will be shown on the screen

What is the PM KISAN scheme?

PM Kisan provides financial assistance to farmer families nationwide. The scheme was launched in February 2019. Under it, ₹6,000 is transferred annually in three installments of ₹2,000 each directly to the farmers' Aadhaar-seeded banks.
