Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) made history on Sunday, May 26, 2024, by winning their third Indian Premier League (IPL) title, defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the final.
KKR, which os owned by Shah Rukh Khan, dominated from the start of the match as all six of their bowlers took wickets to restrict SRH to a mere 113 runs in the ultimate clash. Captain Pat Cummins was the highest run scorer for the Orange Army with 24 runs.
In response, Gurbaz started with a boundary. However, Sunil Narine, a KKR star player, fell cheaply after smashing a six. Venkatesh Iyer dominated from the start to hit a 24-ball half-century. He also smashed winning runs as Knight Riders won the match with 57 balls to spare.

Teams finishing in third and fourth place were given ₹7 crore and ₹6.5 crore, respectively.
