Over 200 people across India registered reports regarding the outage on Downdetector, an outage detection website.
While some users reported issues related to payments and technical difficulties preventing them from completing transactions, others said they were not able to receive or view tickets on the screen.

About 222 users registered complaints, mostly from metropolitan areas like Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore, Chennai, Lucknow, Hyderabad and more, as per Downdetector’s map.
A surge in complaints was noted on Downdetector around 10:04 am, with 140 users reporting outages. Complaints peaked at 11:04 am with 222 reports, before tapering off after that.
Netizens took to the microblogging platform X (formerly Twitter), one writing “Very bad service of IRCTC App. On Tatkal timings, servers of the IRCTC app get down, so much problem arises for ticket booking. IRCTC & Indian Railway should take this concern seriously to provide fast and effective solutions to the user.”
IRCTC shares closed in the green at ₹831.75, up 1.27% on the NSE on Friday during Muharat trading.
