“From April 1, 2026 to March 31, 2027, Infosys will hire another 20,000 college graduates; it's already in our plan,” Moneycontrol quoted CEO Salil Parekh as saying.

Infosys has already recruited about 18,000 college graduates in the first nine months of the current financial year and expects to hire 20,000 by the end of FY26. Its net headcount rose by more than 5,000 employees in the December quarter, Moneycontrol reported.

Parekh said the Bengaluru-based company was seeing new opportunities from artificial intelligence even as some traditional work faces pressure.

“We see some places where there’s compression and some places where there’s growth. And we see the growth a little bit more than what we see on the compression,” he was quoted as saying.

Infosys reported a 2.2% year-on-year fall in net profit to ₹6,654 crore for the December quarter, hurt by a one-time adjustment related to new labour codes, the company said last week.

Revenue from operations rose 9% to 454.79 billion rupees, while the company raised its revenue growth forecast for the current financial year to 3%-3.5%, from 2%-3% earlier. It expects operating margins of 20%-22%.
