The initiative, rolled out by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) under the IndiaAI Mission, seeks to equip 1 crore citizens with foundational AI knowledge and promote the ethical and responsible use of the technology, the ministry said in a statement.

The 4.5-hour, self-paced course is designed to simplify AI concepts for students, professionals and first-time learners.

Packed with real-life Indian examples, the modules introduce how AI works, its impact on education, work and creativity, and the safe use of AI tools. It also offers insights into emerging opportunities in the field.

Who can take this course?

Anyone. Students, working professionals, teachers, or any curious learner. No technical background is required to take this course.

The course is available free of cost on platforms such as FutureSkills Prime, iGOT Karmayogi, and other ed-tech portals.

Every participant will receive an official certificate from the Government of India upon completion.

According to MeitY, ‘YUVA AI for ALL’ is part of the country’s efforts to build an AI-aware and AI-ready population as India steps up its digital transformation.

The programme also invites schools, colleges and organisations to partner with the IndiaAI Mission to widen access and integrate the course into their learning systems.

The course has been developed for the IndiaAI Mission by Jaspreet Bindra, a well-known AI expert and author. It blends global AI learnings with India-specific applications and emphasises inclusive and responsible AI adoption.

The course can be accessed through the FutureSkills Prime platform at the link futureskillsprime.in/course/yuva-ai-for-all/.
