The Union government has issued a warning regarding fraudulent recruitment advertisements from a group falsely claiming affiliation with the Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD).
The National Rural Development & Recreation Mission (NRDRM), which is not associated with MoRD, has been linked to misleading websites offering job opportunities.
The Union government on Monday cautioned the public against fraudulent recruitment advertisements by an organisation falsely claiming to be associated with the Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD).
In an official statement, the ministry said that the entity, National Rural Development & Recreation Mission (NRDRM), which claims to operate from Dr Rajendra Prasad Road, New Delhi, is not affiliated with MoRD in any capacity.
“General public at large is hereby warned that any recruitment activities undertaken by National Rural Development & Recreation Mission-NRDRM perpetrated purportedly in the name of this Ministry, and/or its officials may be considered fraudulent and do not have any endorsement,” the statement read.
The ministry also clarified that it does not charge any fees at any stage of its recruitment process nor does it seek applicants’ bank details.
Official recruitment information is only published on the ministry’s website, rural.gov.in, it added.
