Announcing the development on the social media platform X, Tamil Nadu Industries Minister T R B Rajaa said the investment marks a major boost for the state’s electronics and advanced manufacturing sector.

“Foxconn commits ₹15,000 crore in investments and 14,000 high-value engineering jobs. Engineers get ready! Tamil Nadu’s investment promotion agency Guidance TN will be the first in India to have a dedicated Foxconn Desk,” Rajaa posted.

He said Foxconn’s India representative Robert Wu met Chief Minister M K Stalin to reaffirm the company’s “deep trust” in Tamil Nadu, paving the way for the next phase of value-added manufacturing, R&D integration, and AI-led advanced tech operations.

The creation of the Foxconn Desk within ‘Guidance’ Tamil Nadu will ensure seamless facilitation and fast-tracked execution of the company’s investment plans.

Foxconn, a key supplier to global electronics brands including Apple, already operates multiple facilities in Tamil Nadu and has been steadily expanding its footprint in the state.

Rajaa described the fresh commitment as “the largest ever engineering jobs-for-Tamil Nadu initiative.”
