The festive offer will be available from October 15 to November 15, 2025, and includes unlimited voice calls, 2 GB of high-speed data per day, 100 SMS per day, and a free SIM card, the ministry of communications said on Wednesday.

“BSNL has recently deployed a Make-in-India, state-of-the-art 4G mobile network across the country, advancing the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat,” said A. Robert J. Ravi, CMD, BSNL.

“The Diwali Bonanza Plan—absolutely free of service charges for the first 30 days—gives customers a proud opportunity to experience our indigenously developed 4G network. We’re confident that the service quality, coverage, and the trust associated with the BSNL brand will encourage customers to stay with us well beyond the period of free 30 days,” Ravi added.

BSNL 5G soon

Union telecom minister Jyotiraditya Scindia recently announced that the indigenously developed 4G network of BSNL will be upgraded to 5G within the next six to eight months.

Speaking at the Kautilya Economic Enclave 2025, Scindia said India had joined the exclusive group of nations that have developed their own 4G technology, a space previously dominated by Huawei, ZTE, Samsung, Nokia, and Ericsson.

"This is India's innovation capability and innovation enterprise. But we are not going to rest. Within the next six to eight months, we will be switching these 4G towers to 5G networks and providing end-to-end 5G network capability across the length and breadth of India," Scindia said.
