Upcoming holidays in March 2025: In the last week of the current financial year (FY25), banks will remain closed for at least four days. While Monday, March 31 is a regional holiday in many states on the occasion of Ramzan-Id, all agency banks and banks that handle government transactions will remain open on that day.
In India, banks are open on the first, third, and fifth Saturdays of each month unless specified otherwise by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
Banks in India will be closed for four days between March 23, 2025 and March 31, 2025. While banks were supposed to remain closed on March 31 for Ramzan-Id (Id-Ul-Fitr), the RBI recently announced that all agency banks will be open on that day to facilitate government-related transactions including payments and receipts.
In the last week of fiscal year 2024-2025 (FY25), banks will be closed for at least four days. Here is the list:

In India, banks are open on the first, third, and fifth Saturdays of each month unless specified otherwise by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). Moreover, banks in the country remain closed on all national holidays, regional holidays, Sundays and the second and fourth Saturdays of each month. There were many other bank holidays in this month including Holika Dahan and Holi.
