Airtel acknowledged the outage and said its technical team is working to restore services at the earliest.

Telecom operator Bharti Airtel on Monday said it is facing a network outage, with several users across Delhi-NCR complaining of disruption in voice and messaging services.

“We are currently experiencing a network outage, our team is actively working to resolve the issue and restore services promptly. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused,” Airtel said in a reply to X user.

Several Airtel customers, who complained about facing issues with the services, received the same reply from Airtel Cares.

An Airtel Spokesperson said, "Our customers from Delhi-NCR are experiencing some voice calling issues for the past hour or so. A significant part of the issue has already been resolved and our engineers are at work to resolve this fully. We deeply regret any inconvenience."

Soon after the disruption, social media platform X was flooded with complaints from users who said they were unable to make or receive calls.

“No incoming outgoing calls or messages going through Airtel... Can you please update the status?” a user wrote.

Another user from Shahdara in New Delhi complained of “technical glitches while making phone calls but no issue while using Internet.”

Some subscribers also flagged that Airtel broadband services had suddenly gone dead. “Is there an outage of broadband services? Suddenly gone dead,” one of the posts read.

“@airtelindia services are completely down. Unable to make or receive calls and even messages are not working. This is causing serious issues. Please resolve this,” another user said.

According to outage monitoring website Downdetector, the reports of outage started trickling in at around 3.20 pm and peaked at around 4.30 pm.

Airtel, which has over 1.9 crore mobile subscribers in the Delhi circle, has not specified the reason for the outage or the timeline for restoration of services.
