Air India and Tata Advanced Systems plan to invest ₹2,300 crore in Karnataka.

The plane components maker plans to build manufacturing and research and development facilities in the state. And, India’s second largest airlines by market share will carry out maintenance, repairs, and overhaul of planes at the Bengaluru airport.

These investments are expected to create around 1,600 jobs directly and more than 25,000 jobs indirectly in the state.

Earlier, Tata Technologies had announced to invest ₹15,000 crore in Telangana in a bid to expand its presence in the state. The Tata Group also reportedly plans to set up a semiconductor fabrication plant in Gujarat.
