Unity Bank hikes Fixed Deposit interest rate on 501-day tenure; senior citizens to get up to 8.5%

Unity Small Finance Bank (Unity Bank) on Wednesday (July 15, 2026) hiked interest rate on fixed deposits (FDs) with a maturity of 501 days. After the latest hike, senior citizens on an FD deposited for 501 days will get an attractive interest rate of 8.5% per annum, while other general customers would get 8% interest rate for the same duration.

On its savings accounts (S/B A/cs), Unity Bank offers an interest of 7% p.a. for deposits over ₹10 lakh and 6% p.a. for deposits greater than ₹1 lakh and up to ₹10 lakh.

Other banks that revised FD rate in July 2026

Shriram Finance on its various deposit schemes revised interest rates with effect from July 2, 2026. On its cumulative FD deposit scheme, investors can earn a maximum rate of interest of 7.5% per annum for a tenure between 36-60 months.

NRIs for a similar tenure will earn the maximum interest rate of 7.5% per annum on an FD with Shriram Finance.
