Factors influencing silver rate in India

In line with the sharp gains internationally, silver prices on the MCX climbed today. On the MCX, silver September futures' traded with gains of 1.84% or ₹4,023 at ₹2,22,423 per kg.

Analysts are of the belief that fresh positions by investors in the metal drove prices higher.

Spot silver traded with gains of 4.4% at $58.88 per ounce, while the US silver futures traded close to the psychological mark of $60, with gains of 3.72%.

Along with short covering, geopolitical sentiment concerning speculation around diplomatic efforts to ease US-Iran conflict also influenced safe-haven appetite.
