PC Jeweller achieves debt-free status, clears dues of all 14 consortium banks; shares jump 29% in a month

PC Jeweller share price: PC Jeweller Ltd on Friday, September 25, said it has become debt-free, having cleared dues of all 14 consortium banks.

The company had a total debt of around ₹3,000 crore.

In September 2024, PC Jeweller had opted for a one-time settlement (OTS) for its outstanding dues with a consortium of banks.

The terms and conditions of the approved OTS included cash and equity components payable under the settlement, release of securities and mortgaged properties, etc.

In a regulatory filing on Friday, PC Jeweller informed that the company has "successfully discharged the remaining outstanding debt of the banks and has achieved its financial objective of a debt-free status".

With the latest repayment on Friday, the company said it has discharged the outstanding debt of all 14 consortium banks under the terms of the Settlement Agreement dated September 30, 2024. It has made repayments ahead of scheduled due dates.

PC Jeweller Q1 results

PC Jeweller reported a 37% year-on-year (YoY) jump in its consolidated net profit to ₹222 crore in the first quarter of the 2026-27 financial year (Q1 FY27), on the back of better revenue and said the company will become debt-free in the current quarter. Its net profit stood at ₹161.93 crore in the year-ago period.

Its total income rose to ₹879.27 crore in Q1 FY27 from ₹807.88 crore in the corresponding period of the preceding year.

The jewellery retailer’s earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) climbed 90% YoY to ₹242 crore in the reporting quarter from ₹127 crore in the April-June quarter of the 2025-26 fiscal year (Q1 FY26).

PC Jeweller stock performance

Shares of PC Jewellers closed 0.98% lower at ₹14.11 per unit on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Friday, September 25. However, the development was announced after the market closed.

The stock has rallied 11% in the past week and 29% over the month. On a year-to-date (YTD) basis, it has rallied 52%.

While the shares hit a 52-week high of ₹14.86 on September 23, 2026, they touched a year’s low of ₹7.47 per unit on March 30, 2026.

PC Jeweller has a total market capitalisation of ₹13,760.26 crore as of September 25, 2026, according to data on the NSE.
