Urban Company records net loss of ₹92 crore, adds 1.2 million users in Q1; check June quarter results

Urban Company Q1 results: Home cleaning firm Urban Company on Friday, July 31, reported its earnings for the April-June quarter of the 2026-27 financial year (Q1 FY27).

The company recorded a consolidated net loss of ₹92.12 crore during the quarter under review, compared to a profit of ₹6.94 crore in the first quarter of the 2025-26 fiscal year (Q1 FY26).

On a sequential basis, however, its net loss narrowed from ₹161.16 crore in the fourth quarter of FY26 (Q4 FY26), according to a regulatory filing.

Its revenue from operations jumped 43.86% YoY to ₹528.34 crore during the quarter, from ₹367.27 crore in the June quarter of FY26.

In a shareholder letter, Urban Company said its consolidated Net Transaction Value (NTV) grew 42% YoY to ₹1,465 crore. The company added approximately 1.2 million new users during the quarter, the first time it has crossed the one-million mark in a single quarter.

"Q1 FY27 was one of the strongest quarters in Urban Company's history. Growth accelerated across nearly every part of the business, while the profitability of our core operations reached a new high. At the same time, we continued to invest aggressively in InstaHelp, where unit economics improved despite rapid scale-up," the company said.

The firm's India consumer services segment (excluding InstaHelp) saw its revenue grow 31% YoY to ₹356 crore.

The international business, which includes operations in the UAE and Singapore, reported an 82% surge in revenue to ₹65 crore.

The company's 'Native' brand, which includes water purifiers and smart locks, recorded a 60% increase in revenue to ₹95 crore.

The company stated it remains on track to target consolidated adjusted EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation or amortisation) breakeven by the third quarter of FY28, with approximately ₹1,000 crore of adjusted EBITDA by FY31.

Urban Company stock performance

Shares of Urban Company closed 0.85% lower at ₹129.39 per unit on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Friday. However, the results were announced after the markets closed.

The scrip has fallen 2% over the month and on a year-to-date (YTD) basis. While the stock hit a 52-week high of ₹201.18 apiece on September 22, 2025, it touched a year’s low of ₹100.70 per equity share on March 4, 2026.
