PB Fintech Q1 results: Net profit soars 92% YoY to ₹163 crore, insurance premium surges 41%

PB Fintech Q1 results: PB Fintech, the company that operates PolicyBazaar, reported its earnings for the April-June quarter of the 2026-27 financial year (Q1 FY27) on Wednesday, August 5.

The company saw its consolidated net profit rising 92% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹163 crore for the reporting quarter, compared with ₹85 crore in the first quarter of the 2025-26 fiscal year (Q1 FY26).

Its revenue from operations jumped 40.1% YoY to ₹1,888.28 crore in the first quarter of FY27, as against ₹1,347.99 crore in the same period the previous fiscal year. Its top line has soared at a compound average growth rate (CAGR) of 51% from ₹239 crore in Q1 FY22.

At an operational level, its adjusted EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation), also known as operating profit, advanced 109% YoY to ₹186 crore in Q1 FY27, from ₹89 crore.

Its EBITDA margin expanded by 300 basis points (bps) YoY to 10% from 7%.

It clocked revenue of ₹1,728.44 crore from the insurance broker services segment during the quarter under review, reflecting a 45.6% YoY increase from ₹1,186.95 crore in the June FY26 quarter.

The company’s total insurance premium stood at ₹8,732 crore, up 41% YoY, led by growth in core online new protection business at 53% YoY and new health insurance up 59% YoY.

It continued to improve its customer onboarding and claims support services, the company said.

PB Fintech stock performance

Shares of PB Fintech closed 1.44% higher at ₹1,620 per unit on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Wednesday. However, the results were announced after the markets closed.

The scrip has advanced nearly 1% in the past week and 2% over the month. However, on a year-to-date (YTD) basis, it has fallen more than 10%.

While the stock hit a 52-week high of ₹1,974 apiece on September 4, 2025, it touched a year’s low of ₹1,364 per equity share on March 9, 2026.
