Newgen Software Q1 FY27 results: Net profit dips 41%, revenue falls to ₹453 crore QoQ; shares slip 6%

Q1 FY27 results: Newgen Software Technologies on Thursday, July 16, reported a consolidated net profit of ₹63 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026 (Q1 FY27), declining 41% sequentially from ₹106 crore in Q4 FY26.

The company’s revenue from operations for the quarter under review stood at ₹357 crore, falling 21% quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) as compared to ₹453 crore reported in the previous quarter.

EBIT, or earnings before interest and taxes, for Newgen Software also slipped 67% at ₹47 crore as against ₹143 crore QoQ. The EBIT margin stood at 13.1% in contrast to 31.5% sequentially.

The firm reported a tax expense of ₹19.3 crore for the quarter, compared to ₹31.5 crore in the previous quarter.

Geographically speaking, its revenue from the India vertical stood at ₹96 crore, reflecting a 1% YoY rise and 23% QoQ fall from ₹95 crore and ₹124 crore, respectively.

The New Delhi-headquartered company’s Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) revenue grew 11% annually while dropping 17% sequentially to ₹114 crore.

However, its revenue from the Asia-Pacific region (APAC) was at ₹56 crore in Q1 FY27, marking a 12% YoY jump and 34% QoQ loss.

Its US segment revenue increased 28% annually to ₹92 crore, from ₹72 crore in the first quarter of FY26. On a sequential basis, it slipped 13% QoQ from ₹106 crore in Q4 FY26.

Last month, the global software company announced that Virender Jeet had resigned as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO). His last working day is set for August 31, 2026. In his resignation letter, Jeet said his decision was due to personal and professional reasons.

Newgen Software share price trends

Following the earnings, Newgen Software shares had declined 6% to touch an intraday low of ₹526.30 apiece on the National Stock Exchange. At 10:52 AM, the stock was trading at ₹543.65 apiece, falling 2.52%.

From the beginning of the year, Newgen Software Technologies’ shares have tumbled 35%. Over a month’s time, the stock has surged 14%, while it has dipped nearly 28% in the past six months.

Shares of the company had touched their one-year high of ₹1,109.90 apiece on July 16, 2025, while their 52-week low of ₹401.05 was hit on March 30, 2026.

Newgen Software Technologies has a total market capitalisation of ₹ 7,746.13 crore as of July 16, 2026, according to data on the NSE.
