Infosys Q2 net profit may range between ₹7,950 crore and ₹8,070 crore, up 2% to 4% QoQ.
IT major Infosys will announce its September quarter earnings on Friday, October 23, after market hours. According to experts, Infosys could report low single-digit sequential growth in revenue and net profit.
Infosys’ net profit may range between ₹7,950 crore and ₹8,070 crore, up 8% to 10% YoY and 2% to 4% QoQ. The company reported a net profit of ₹7,769 crore in the previous quarter and ₹7,364 crore in the same quarter last year.
As per experts, Infosys’ Q2FY27 revenue could rise 1% to 2% sequentially and 10% to 11% YoY to between ₹48,900 crore and ₹49,300 crore. The company reported revenue of ₹48,211 crore in the previous quarter and ₹44,490 crore in the September quarter of FY26. Infosys is expected to trim its FY27 guidance amid soft demand and growth concerns in some segments.
Infosys’ EBIT margin is likely to drop by 10 to 30 basis points to between 20.9% and 21.3%, due to wage revisions and investment in AI development. Total contract value (TCV) is likely to be around $2.5 billion to $3 billion for the quarter.
Investors will closely track management commentary on FY27 guidance, new deal wins and progress in AI adoption.
Ahead of the Q2FY27 results, Infosys shares closed 1.2% lower at ₹1,153 on Thursday, October 22. The stock is down over 28% so far this year amid market volatility and broader fears of AI-driven disruption.
Infosys has the strongest chart of the IT companies this season. Since its early-October low near ₹985, the stock has risen about 17%. In mid-October it broke above ₹1,113, the floor of its August–September trading range, and it has held above that level since. This looks like a pause in an uptrend rather than a reversal, because the stock remains well above its key averages.
The trend signals have turned positive. The stock is trading about 6.5% above both its 20-day EMA and 50-day EMA. The 20-day EMA is now just about to cross above the 50-day EMA, which would confirm the recovery.
The Directional Movement Index (DMI) shows the strongest trend signal of the season so far. The +DI at 34.1 is far above the -DI at 11.5, so buyers are firmly in control. The ADX has risen to 29.1, which shows the uptrend is gaining strength.

With Infosys futures at ₹1,158, the options market expects a move of about ±4.1% by expiry, which puts the expected range at roughly ₹1,110 to ₹1,206.
History suggests this pricing may be on the lower side. In 5 of the last 12 quarters, Infosys moved more than 4.1% on the day after its results, and these moves went both ways. The stock jumped 7.9% after the Q3FY24 results and 5.6% after Q3FY26. It fell 5.8% after Q3FY25 and 6.9% after Q4FY26.

If you expect a sharp move after the results: A long straddle, buying the 1,160 call and put, could be considered. Infosys has moved more than the current price on the day after its results in nearly half of the last 12 quarters. The strategy makes a profit if the stock moves below roughly ₹1,112 or above ₹1,208 by expiry. However, option premiums usually fall sharply after the results, so the stock needs to move quickly for this strategy to work.

If you expect the stock to stay in a range: A short straddle, selling the 1,160 call and put, could be considered. The expected range sits between strong support at ₹1,113 and resistance at ₹1,190. The strategy makes money if Infosys stays between roughly ₹1,112 and ₹1,208 until expiry. However, the stock’s history of large post-results moves makes this a higher-risk trade, so strict stop-losses are important.

If you want to trade a move in one direction: The stock is in a strong uptrend, but it is also close to resistance. Traders can wait for the results before taking a position. If Infosys closes above the ₹1,190 August high, a bull put spread could be considered. If it closes below the ₹1,113.5 breakout level, a bear call spread may be more suitable.
