Technical outlook

MCX Gold Mini 5 November futures were near ₹1,46,080, recovering after approaching the support at ₹1,44,417. Price is testing its 20 hour EMA while remaining below the 50 hour EMA. The shorter average remains below the longer average, keeping the broader structure weak. Meanwhile, negative DI is marginally above positive DI, while ADX at 43.62 remains elevated but is falling, suggesting that the earlier downtrend is losing strength.

Gold retains a bearish bias, although the rebound shows improving buying interest. An hourly close above the 20 hour EMA near ₹1,46,096, followed by sustained buying, could extend the recovery towards ₹1,47,005–₹1,47,162. On the downside, ₹1,44,417 remains the key support. A decisive break below it would signal renewed weakness.

MCX Silver Mini 30 November futures were near ₹2,13,601, rebounding after testing support around ₹2,10,701. Price remains below its declining 20 hour and 50 hour EMAs, with the shorter average below the longer average. Meanwhile, negative DI remains above positive DI, while ADX at 62.85 indicates a strong prevailing downtrend. However, ADX has started easing as the rebound develops, suggesting some moderation in selling strength.

An hourly close above the 20 hour EMA would signal an initial improvement, with the 50 hour EMA the next hurdle. The broken support at ₹2,22,642 remains a broader resistance. On the downside, ₹2,10,701 is the immediate level to watch.

MCX Crude Oil 19 October futures were near ₹8,958, attempting to stabilise after retreating from the recent highs around ₹9,100. Price is below its 20 hour EMA but marginally above its 50 hour EMA. The shorter average remains above the longer average, although the pullback has weakened buying momentum. Meanwhile, negative DI is slightly above positive DI, while ADX at 22.78 is easing, indicating limited directional strength.

Crude is consolidating, with the 50 hour EMA acting as the immediate reference. An hourly close above ₹8,988–₹9,000 would signal improving buying momentum and could support a retest of ₹9,100. The broader resistance remains ₹9,309–₹9,384. On the downside, sustained weakness below ₹8,937 and the recent low around ₹8,900 would weaken the recovery.

Technical note: The 20-EMA reflects short-term price momentum, while the 50-EMA indicates the broader hourly trend. Price above both averages, particularly when the 20-EMA is above the 50-EMA, supports a positive structure; the reverse indicates a negative structure. In the DMI, +DI above -DI signals positive directional pressure, while -DI above +DI signals negative pressure. ADX measures trend strength rather than direction: readings below 20 generally indicate a weak or range-bound market, 20–25 suggest an emerging trend, and readings above 25 indicate a stronger trend. These indicators should be interpreted together with the stated support, resistance and confirmation levels.
