In a regulatory filing, the country's largest carmaker said the price hike would be applicable across its model portfolio.

"The Company has decided to increase the prices of its models across its portfolio by up to Rs 30,000. This increase in prices would come into effect in August 2026," it said.

The company said it had been making continuous efforts over the past few months to mitigate the impact of rising costs through cost-reduction measures.

However, with inflationary pressures remaining elevated and the adverse cost environment continuing, it has been compelled to pass on a part of the increased costs to customers, it added.

Maruti Suzuki said the exact quantum of the price increase will vary from model to model.

The company sells a range of cars and SUVs from entry-level S-Presso to premium utility vehicle Invicto priced between ₹3.5 lakh and ₹28.70 lakh (ex-showroom).

The latest hike comes just two months after the company implemented a price hike of up to ₹30,000 across its portfolio in June 2026, while offering price protection to some entry-level cars.

Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles has already raised prices twice while Mahindra & Mahindra and Hyundai Motor India have raised them once.
