The two-floor Swirl Transit Hotel, located on the arrivals level, is designed for passengers with long layovers, early departures, late arrivals and other short-stay requirements.

Guests can choose between four-hour and overnight stays and access shower facilities, dining and other hotel services.

"Swirl Transit Hotel brings accommodation into the airport environment, giving travellers greater flexibility to rest, work or refresh between flights," Suchit Bansal, CEO, Non-Aero Business, AAHL, said in a statement.

“Navi Mumbai International Airport is being developed as a large-scale aviation and passenger services hub, and offerings such as Swirl add to the convenience of travelling through the airport. We see an opportunity to take this proposition to other airports across our network and build a wider transit hospitality offering," Bansal added.

The hotel has 80 rooms across six categories, ranging from 130 square feet to 410 square feet, including single, double, twin, accessible, junior suite and executive suite rooms.

Facilities include high-speed Wi-Fi, smart televisions, workstations, electronic safes, tea and coffee facilities, toiletries and in-room dining.

The property also offers express laundry, concierge assistance, 24-hour housekeeping, pick-up and drop services and wake-up calls.

It has a 24-hour all-day dining restaurant with seating for 40 guests, besides round-the-clock in-room dining and grab-and-go options.

AAHL said the Swirl Transit Hotel concept will next be introduced at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati, where a 21-room property is planned in the arrivals area of Terminal 2.

The Guwahati property will offer hourly and overnight stays and cater to transit passengers, arriving and departing travellers with extended waiting periods, and business travellers.

Navi Mumbai International Airport, one of India's largest greenfield international airport projects, commenced commercial operations on December 25, 2025. It began international operations on July 15, 2026, with its first international flight to Abu Dhabi.

AAHL operates eight airports, including Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Mangaluru, Jaipur, Guwahati, Thiruvananthapuram and Navi Mumbai.
