Wipro asks employees to return to office

IT major Wipro is calling its employees back to the office. The company said its offices will be open for four days a week starting from 10 October and encourage its employees to work from office at least three days a week.

CCI gives nod to Zee-Sony deal

The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has given its nod to the proposed merger of Zee Entertainment and Sony Networks. As per market experts, the merger will create business synergies between the two companies. The combined entity will be a $10 billion TV enterprise with total viewership share of 24% and revenue share of 27%.

Low rural demand hits FMCG sales

As per a new industry report, subdued rural demand affected FMCG sales in September. Overall, sales declined by 9.6% compared to the previous month because of a decline in farm yield and household income due to inconsistent rainfall. Rural sales accounts for nearly 70% of total FMCG sales.
