HCL gets earnings boost

HCL Tech’s Q4 net profit of ₹3,593 crore beat street estimates as it rose 4.39% quarter-on-quarter. Meanwhile, its revenue rose 1.19% sequentially to ₹22,597 crore, which was in line with the street’s expectations.

The company sprung a surprise on the attrition front. While IT majors like Infosys and TCS reported rising attrition rates, HCL Tech was able to reduce it to 9.9% from 19.8% QoQ.


L&T Tech Q4 profit rises

Engineering services company L&T Technology Services reported a 5.3% increase in its consolidated net profit to ₹262 crore in Q4 as compared to the preceding quarter. The profit was in line with street estimates. This was on a 4.1% rise in revenue to ₹1,756 crore.

Its digital and leading-edge technologies businesses contributed 57% to revenues during the period. Its trailing 12-month attrition rate at the end of the quarter grew to 20.4% as against 17.5% at the end of Q3 FY22.


DLF to build office space

With companies moving back to working from office, DLF plans to invest ₹1,700 crore to develop 37 lakh sq ft of office space in Noida. An office tower spanning 4.5 lakh sq ft and a data centre are the first ones on the list.

According to the management, office demand will be robust in the coming months as low-cost space solutions along with English-speaking talent will continue to attract MNCs. The real-estate company has leased 3.6 lakh sq ft space to a Singapore-based company.
