Vedanta shifts focus to renewable energy

Mining company Vedanta is increasing its renewable energy sourcing up to 1 GW for its various operations. The company has floated a tender for supply of hybrid renewable power for its manufacturing units in Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Odisha. The company aims to use upto 2.5 GW of renewable energy by 2030.

SRF expands capacity

Specialty chemicals firm SRF has successfully commissioned the capacity expansion at its Dahej plant. The dedicated facility will be used to produce 300 MTPA of P38. The total project cost was estimated at  ₹61 crore. However, the company managed to commission the project at an aggregate cost of ₹58 crore.

Govt extends six-airbag deadline

The central government has extended the deadline for car manufacturers to install a minimum of six airbags in cars by one year to 1 October 2023. The decision was taken considering the global supply chain constraints being faced by the Indian auto industry.
