⭐ Tata Power to set up solar project
Tata Power Solar Systems Ltd (TPSSL) announced it has received the letter of award for setting up a 100 MW solar project worth ₹612 crore for Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited (SJVN) in Gujarat. TPSSL is a 100% subsidiary of Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited and Tata Power holds a 93.9% stake in the latter. TPSSL's total order book stands at ₹15,520 crore.
⭐ Jio’s user base grows, Vodafone’s dips further
Reliance Jio added 2.9 million mobile phone users in July, taking its subscription base to 415 million subscribers. Meanwhile, Bharti Airtel added 0.5 million wireless subscribers, taking its total user base to 363 million, whereas Vodafone Idea's customer losses continued. Vodafone Idea lost 1.54 million mobile customers in July, reducing its user base to 255 million.
⭐ Air passenger traffic rises in August
Domestic air passenger traffic surged 5% month-on-month and 52% year-on-year in August to just over 10 million passengers, according to ratings agency Icra. The domestic aviation industry operated at a passenger load factor of around 80% in August 200, against 72% in August 2021 and around 85% in August 2019.
