Jubilant Foodworks’ profit grows three-fold
- Domino’s Pizza master franchisee holder Jubilant Foodworks reported a strong 223% year-on-year rise in its consolidated Q4 profit. Profits stood at ₹105 crore as its revenue grew by 14.2% and expenses rose at a slower pace.
- The management commented that the company has now transitioned from recovery to growth phase. In Q4, it added 53 new stores to its network including 50 new Domino’s outlets, the highest ever for any quarter. Despite the strong results, its shares fell 0.3% yesterday.
Two more IPOs hit markets today
- Hyderabad-based Dodla Dairy, which is the third largest private integrated dairy company in terms of milk procurement in India, will open for subscription today. The company primarily derives its revenue from four southern states and Maharashtra. It sells its dairy and value-added products under the brands Dodla Dairy and Dodla.
- Apart from Dodla Dairy, Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences, which operates nine multi-specialty hospitals across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, will launch its IPO. These hospitals run under the brand name ‘KIMS Hospitals’ and have a combined bed capacity of 3,064. You can click here to apply for these IPOs.
Copper prices drop on fear of Chinese curbs
- Copper prices cracked to a seven-week low over fears that authorities in China—a top consumer—could take measures to curb further price rise. Yesterday, copper prices were trading nearly 4% lower.
- Copper prices have gained around 23% in this calendar year. The Chinese state planner is expected to increase monitoring of commodity prices as the country’s producer inflation hits its highest in over 12 years. Meanwhile, copper related stocks witnessed selling pressure yesterday–Vedanta (-1.1%), Hindalco (-1.0%) and Hindustan Copper (-2.5%).
