⭐ Bookings open for Maruti’s new premium SUV 🚗

Auto major Maruti Suzuki has opened bookings for its upcoming SUV Grand Vitara. The car will be globally launched on 20 July. After launching the all-new Brezza recently, the company is planning to cement its presence in the midsize SUV segment.

M&M to invest in EV battery cell maker 🔋

To avoid future supply issues, M&M is open to investing in a battery-cell company. Last week, the company raised funds for its electric vehicle unit, which valued it at $9.1 billion. However, the company said that it has no intention to get into manufacturing batteries, but may partner with companies that make them. M&M plans to launch five electric SUVs over the next few years.

⭐ Coal India raises Q1 capex 💡

State-owned miner Coal India's capital expenditure rose by 65% year-on-year to ₹3,034 crore in Q1 FY23. This was driven by the government's push to expand capacity as the country faced a power crisis. The capex was used in acquiring land and strengthening transport infrastructure in its coalfields.
