So, how do you earn when you partner with Upstox?
- Through AOIs:
AOIs stand for Account Opening Incentives and these are the commissions that you earn for onboarding a new customer. AOIs are based on ARPU or the Average Revenue Per User, generated for every onboarded user. It allows you to earn anywhere between Rs 400 to Rs 1200 for every customer that is connected with us because of you.

- Through Brokerage:
Another way to earn is through brokerage. This means that Upstox pays you up to 50% of the brokerage that it earns from your onboarded customers.
Now that you have a fair idea of how you can make money with Upstox, let us show you how you can partner with us. We offer three kinds of partnership programs:
The Authorised Partner Program
This program has a manual registration process and is apt for you if you’re interested in receiving a National Stock Exchange (NSE) of India registration. Under this program, you can refer clients, contribute to the growth of Upstox and thereby generate revenue, for yourself as well as the company.
The Referral Agent Program
This program offers a completely online and paperless registration process. It was introduced with the intention of empowering individuals all over India to become entrepreneurs. Through this program, Upstox provides you with a platform and enables you to earn through referrals and a revenue-sharing model.
To become a Referral Agent (RA), you need to register under our Referral Agent program by signing up on our ‘Become a Partner page’ and submitting the required documentation.
In both the Authorised Partner (AP) as well as the Referral Agent programs, you get the opportunity to earn because of the AOI or the Account Opening Incentives. Which means that you earn incentives whenever you onboard new customers. In fact, you also earn a percentage of the brokerage generated by Upstox from these onboarded customers.
This percentage ranges around 30 - 50% if you are an Authorised Partner and around 40% if you are a referral agent. Both of these programs have a registration fee which you will have to pay at the time of registration.
The Partner Up Program
This is an exclusive invite-only Partner referral program. It helps you grow your income by referring other partners (APs or RAs) to Upstox. You then receive an additional income from the customers referred by your Lead Partners. You also get a dedicated section in the Partner Dashboard to track and manage your referred Lead Partners.
