Dabur acquires Badshah Masala

FMCG major Dabur India acquired a majority stake in spice brand Badshah Masala. In October 2022, Dabur India had announced the acquisition of51% stake in Badshah Masala for a cash consideration of ₹587 crore. Badshah Masala has now become a subsidiary of Dabur India.

Hindustan Zinc’s production rises marginally

Hindustan Zinc has released its production update for the third quarter of FY23. Its mined metal production grew marginally by 1% year-on-year to 254 kt,due to higher ore production. Meanwhile, the integrated silver production was down 7% to 161 tonnes. It’s apparently due to lower feed grade at SK Mine.

⭐ Rise in India’s coffee export

India’s coffee export rose 1.6% year-on-year to 4 lakh tonnes in 2022,per data released by the Coffee Board. In value terms, exports grew by 25% to ₹ 8,762 crore in 2022. India is Asia’s third largest producer and exporter of coffee. Italy, Germany and Russia are its major export destinations.
