Ashok Leyland to roll out new vehicles

Commercial vehicle (CV) maker Ashok Leyland is ready to roll out a whole range of alternate-fuel products in the next 18 to 24 months. The company plans to cover all segments of CVs and relevant applications. Besides this, it also hinted that it would also foray into the light commercial vehicle sub-2 tonnes category.

⭐ Oberoi Group to invest in AP projects

Luxury hotel chain Oberoi Group will invest ₹1,500 crore in various hotel projects in Andhra Pradesh. With this, it will generate direct employment to 1,500 people and employ 11,000 people indirectly. The group is planning to build all hotels with seven-star facilities. The group plans to start its hotels in Visakhapatnam, Tirupati, Gandikota, Picchukalanka and Horsley Hills and also operate a tourism centre in Paderu region.

⭐ China shuts down electronics market

Amid the recent spike in Covid cases, China has ordered the closure of the world's largest electronics wholesale market to curb the outbreak. Market, which is in the country's technology hub Shenzhen, will be closed till Thursday. Shenzhen, China's most modern industrial city, has faced several shutdowns in the past to deal with sudden spikes.
