⭐ 5G auction concludes
India's first-ever 5G spectrum auction concluded on the seventh day. Of the 72,098 MHz of spectrum offered across 10 bands, 51,236 MHz of spectrum was sold, and bids worth ₹150,173 were received. Reliance Jio emerged as the largest bidder for the 5G spectrum with bids worth ₹88,078 crore. Meanwhile, Bharti Airtel bid for 19,867 MHz of airwaves across different bands for ₹43,084 crore, and Adani Group bought 400 MHz of spectrum for ₹212 crore.
⭐ Coal India's production rises
Coal India reported an 11% year-on-year (YoY) jump in its July production to 47.3 million tonnes (MT) despite the monsoon slowing down its operations. The company is reportedly planning to operationalise 14 mines, which have a combined capacity of 165.58 MT per annum.
⭐ Zomato’s loss narrows
Online food delivery platform Zomato reported a decline in its Q1 consolidated loss to ₹185 crore against a loss of ₹356 crore YoY. Meanwhile, consolidated revenue stood at ₹1,413 crore, up 67% YoY. Growth in revenue was driven by 41% YoY growth in gross order value to ₹6,430 crore.
