Dharani Sugars and Chemicals Limited is an India-based company, which is engaged in the business of manufacturing white sugar, generation of electricity and production of industrial alcohol. The Company operates through three segments: Sugar, Co-generation of Power and Distillery products. The Sugar segment includes molasses and other by-products. Its Distillery products segment is engaged in manufacturing alcohol, including ethanol. The Company’s operations are spread over three locations in Tamil Nadu, Dharani Nagar in Tirunelveli District; Karaipoondi Village, Polur in Thiruvannamalai District and Kalayanallur Village, Sankarapuram Taluk in Villupuram District. The Company’s three sugar plants has a total crushing capacity of approximately 10,000 tons crushed per day (TCD) and a multi-product distillery of approximately 160 kiloliters per day (KLPD). The Company has a co-generation power plant of 37 megawatts (MWs).
