The numbers reflect the total Overseas Indian population, which combines Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) and Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs), as per official MEA data (2025).

UAE has 3.6 million Indians, the largest expat group in the country, working in IT, construction, healthcare, business and benefiting from tax-free incomes.
The USA tops with 5.4 million Indians, the largest Indian community abroad, thriving in tech, healthcare, academia, startups and high-skilled industries.
