The 2024 Paris Olympic Games have come to an end but the hype around them hasn’t. Here are the top 5 best-performing countries this year.
The USA won a total of 126 medals, the most by any country! With 40 gold, 44 silver and 42 bronze medals to its name, the USA outdid every other country by a considerable margin at the Paris Games.
Taking the second position with an impressive number of medals, the People’s Republic of China won 96 medals: 40 gold, 27 silver, and 24 bronze.
Coming third, Japan won a total of 45 medals at the Games. The tally consisted of 20 gold, 12 silver and 13 bronze medals.
While Australia won more medals than Japan, it stands fourth with 18 gold medals, 19 silver and 16 bronze medals.
With a total tally bigger than both Japan and Australia, France holds the fifth place with 16 gold, 25 silver and 22 bronze medals.
