Things to know about Burj Khalifa

Burj Dubai, popularly known as Burj Khalifa, is the world’s tallest structure. The skyscraper has a total height of 829.8 metres. 

The construction of the building began in 2004, the exterior was completed in 2009 and it was opened in 2010 as part of a mixed-use complex in Dubai called Downtown Dubai.

It also holds the record for the building with the highest number of floors, a total of 163. 

The tip of the sphere of the skyscraper is visible from up to 95 km away!

It has both residential and commercial spaces including one of the highest residential apartments at 385 metres.

It also has one of the highest restaurants in the world, At.mosphere Restaurant and Lounge at Level 122, at 385 metres. 

At the highest level of the building, the temperature is almost 15°F lower than the ground level. 

Burj Khalifa might soon lose its title as the world's tallest tower. A structure over 1,000 metres tall is being constructed in Saudi Arabia. It's called the Kingdom Tower or Burj Jeddah!
