Meta introduced its first smart glasses with a built-in screen on September 17 with an aim to shift common phone functions into everyday eyewear.
Meta highlights functions designed to make the glasses practical in daily use. Here are five key features users are likely to care about.
The right lens shows texts, maps, AI answers and music controls, allowing quick glances without reaching for your phone.
A neural wristband reads hand movements like pinches, slides and twists, turning them into commands and navigation inputs.
Double tapping the band activates Meta’s AI assistant, ready to dictate responses, answer queries or handle simple tasks.
The display supports calls showing the other person while live captions transcribe speech in real time with translation options.
A 12MP camera with a digital viewfinder lets users capture photos and 1080p video directly through the frames.
The glasses cost $799 (about ₹70,000) and will go on sale Sept 30 across select Ray-Ban, Best Buy, LensCrafters and Verizon stores.
