Gaganyaan is the name of ISRO's first human space mission, which plans to send a crew of 3 astronauts to a low-Earth orbit for 3 days. This mission is in its first phase as of 2024 and is set to end in 2026.

NISAR is a joint mission between NASA and ISRO to develop the first dual-band sensing satellite, which will be used to gather various types of data about Earth’s biomass, rise in sea level, etc. Initially set for 2024, it was postponed to 2025.

Shukrayaan-1, or the Venus Orbiter Mission, is ISRO’s first planned mission to Venus. Scheduled for 2025, the mission aims to study the climate and geological processes of the planet.

Mangalyaan-2, or the Mars Orbiter Mission-2 (MOM2), is ISRO’s second orbiter mission to Mars, set for launch in 2026. Building on the success of Mangalyaan-1, the mission aims to study the atmosphere, environment and interplanetary dust of the planet.

Lunar Polar Exploration Mission (LUPEX) set for 2026 is an Indo-Japanese collaborative project that aims to send a rover and an orbiter to the south pole of the Moon for 7 lunar days.
Chandrayaan-4, building on the success of Chandrayaan-3 and preceded by LUPEX, is a moon sample collection mission with a launch planned for 2028.

ISRO plans to set up an Indian Space Station, or the Bharatiya Antariksha Station, where astronauts could stay for 15-20 days. The space station will mirror the ISS’s orbit, as it is scheduled for deorbiting by 2030.
With anticipation around the Gaganyaan project, which would form the stepping stone to future manned missions, ISRO ultimately aims to send an Indian to the Moon by 2040.

AstroSat-2 is a proposed space telescope that builds on the success of AstroSat-1, which is India's first dedicated multi-wavelength space telescope that detected a gamma-ray burst just hours after launch.
